Our stay was marred by persistent plumbing issues, as there was a terrible smell in the bathroom throughout our visit. The breakfast options were quite limited and did not appeal to our tastes, though my children enjoyed the chocolate cake offered each morning. We expected a more enjoyable experience, given the hotel’s reputation, but unfortunately, it fell short.

I cherished the peaceful forest trails that attracted vibrant birds and the cozy reading corner in the lobby. Such unique touches made my solo stay truly memorable.

Had an awesome time with friends! We loved ziplining and exploring the beautiful cloud forest reserve with a guide. The view from our room was fantastic, and the rustic vibe was perfect for our getaway. The staff was super helpful when planning our days, especially with tips for Sky Adventures. Just a heads up, the walk to the rooms can be a bit steep.

The beds were pretty stiff and uncomfortable, which made it hard to sleep well at times.

Navigating to the rooms can be a chore, especially after rainfall, with muddy paths and no porters to assist. The room lacked Wi-Fi access, which was only available in common areas. Additionally, breakfast included undercooked items and coffee service was delayed, but there’s decent bakery nearby. The balcony furniture left much to be desired. uncomfortable metal chairs aren't ideal for enjoying the scenic view.

It was just a perfect match for a weekend trip in Monteverde with excellent value for money. The shower had great pressure and you could control the spray types, which made for a refreshing experience. Make sure to bring warm clothes as it can get chilly in the evenings.
